PS: I’ve recently been re-examining energy production & electric storage (battery).
Ironically it seems magnets can drawn energy from “elsewhere” maybe dark energy? I’m not sure! But permanent magnets have spinning electrons trapped in “domains” (cages, that melt at high “curie temperature”) and they throw out magnetic fields that can move a mass a distance: doing WORK. That is energy. The trick is to trap it in a useable way. If you just move a magnet or iron back and forth in magnetic filed of a strong magnet, you get out zero net energy. But it is quite possible to energize a moving thing and slip it away, keeping its acquired energy. And some magnet positions have engular force driving it forward in a constant magnetic field from other stuff around it (as in a rotor inside an encompassing stator). Ive seen it. So far I don;t see significant amounts of energy coming out, but my own work and others advance. (So do magnets wear out? Run down like batteries? Some do if they constantly face opposing fields and are weak to start with as in natural iron ones. But neodymium-iron-boron “supermagents” only lose a few percent in a decade, then virtually nothing.) I’m not interested in “violating” laws of physics. Those “laws” are manmade, and ASSUME a closed system. Maybe magnets draw from “outside” what we see as the system. I see no proven workable “free energy” electric generator yet. Seems he was right. But websearch and you’ll find little on this obvious idea.
Why? (I found some US NAvy research on that battery idea in late 1990s, by a guy who appears to then be in Israel. More work for two years. Some patents filed. Then nothing. The company he started went to another battery type – far more costly. Hm? Is it possible he started (using US tax money!) to develop the obvious idea, worked up some patents (first for US navy, then an Israeli group in Israel), then KILLED this cheap battery idea? Now he works on a costly battery.) Well, even not reading his patent ideas, I’m sure someone can develop the Al-Mn battery and make a go of it. I’m contacting a potential N American Manganese producing group about this idea. Oh… 35% of world manganese comes from China. Most US manganese (needed for steel production) comes from China. China shut down ALL production in US and Canada! (Other sources: S Africa, Australia, Brazil, Ukraine). The manganese deposit folks I communicate with focus on their medium grade ore, but a huge amount. Technology is being developed to make it usable; not a major corporation doing that research, but locals. I bet they’d love to have a high-energy cheap-battery works using managnese, could be in same area with plenty of [white] workers nearby seeking “diversity” that works. Diversifying the econmy of their traditional community, not importing aliens! (And there is a new ore deposit of interest in another place; that is another story.)

Three people were injured during a shooting on the campus of Lone Star College in Houston, Texas, this afternoon, causing the school to be locked down and evacuated while police searched for a suspect.
Police were searching for a man described as 6-foot-2 and wearing a Atlanta Falcons cap, KTRK reported.
A statement on the school’s website advised students and faculty to “shelter in place” wherever they are on campus. It gave no details of the shooting situation.
The shooting comes only a month after the massacre at Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Conn., in which 20 students and six staff members were shot, sparking a wave of attempted copycat crimes in states like California and Indiana.
The Connecticut shooting inspired calls from government officials including President Obama for stricter gun control laws.

This was a speech also firmly rooted in denial with regard to the calamitous state of America’s finances, with the national debt now standing at more than $16 trillion, with more than 128 million Americans on government programs, including a record 46 million living on food stamps. This was not an address that offered any hope to those concerned about how America is going to pay its bills or the fact that future generations of Americans will be saddled with paying off the profligate spending of today’s leaders.
Throughout his speech, President Obama paid homage to the idol of big government, calling for “collective action”, “rules to ensure competition and fair play” with regard to the free market, and new government programmes to “harness new ideas and technology to remake our government” (i.e. more government spending). He made no mention of entitlement reform, instead making a firm defense of the unaffordable status quo, “the commitments we make to each other through Medicare and Medicaid and Social Security,” arguing that “these things do not sap our initiative.” There was no encouragement given to entrepreneurs and small businesses, the engine of the U.S. economy, no mention of economic freedom or limited government. There was however a heavy emphasis on government action to address climate change, a sneering attack on climate-sceptics, and a pledge to “preserve our planet,” a code word for greater regulation and higher taxes.

Five teenagers were shot in the Central City neighborhood of New Orleans shortly after Monday’s Martin Luther King Day parade moved passed the area.
Police spent the afternoon collecting evidence and shell casings outside a grocery at Martin Luther King and LaSalle.
Investigators say shortly after 1 p.m., a late model, white, two-door sedan drove past the store, and a gunman opened fire on a group teenagers standing on the corner in front of the store.
“So far we know of five injuries,” said NOPD Superintendent Ronal Serpas. “We do not expect that any of those injuries are fatal at this time.”

The cash-strapped U.S. Postal Service has eliminated 168,000 jobs since 2006, and more cuts could result as it struggles to avoid its own “fiscal cliff.” As the United States honors Martin Luther King’s civil rights legacy on Monday, many African-American workers may be facing new obstacles to achieving and maintaining a middle-class life style.
African-Americans represent 13.1 percent of the U.S. population and 11.6 percent of the labor force, according to a 2012 U.S. Department of Labor report. Nearly one in five African-American workers hold government jobs such as mail clerks, firefighters and teachers, the report said.
“There’s a long tradition of the public sector being more friendly, or less hostile, to African-American workers,” said Robert Zieger, emeritus professor of history at the University of Florida in Gainesville. “The Post Office is the best example.”
African-Americans make up about 20 percent of U.S. Postal Service workers – and are the majority in some urban centers, representing 75 percent to 80 percent of the 5,000 letter carriers in the Chicago area, according to Mack Julion, president of the Chicago branch of the National Association of Letter Carriers.
But the public sector has cut nearly 600,000 jobs since 2009, due to shrinking government budgets and a range of other issues, according to the Bureau of Labor Relations. The slower recovery for African-Americans in the labor market has, in part, been the result of government layoffs after the end of the recession was declared, according to the Labor Department report.
In December, the black unemployment rate was 14 percent, roughly double that of Whites.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man has been charged in a triple shooting that happened on Jan. 9 in the 1900 block of West 25th Street.
Martin Luther King, 33, has been charged with the murder of Andrew Stephens, according to a release from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. King also faces two counts of aggravated battery for shooting two other victims, Steveonte Stephens and Deangelo Bryant, who survived.
