Make system backups from within Ubuntu while it’s running. Nothing extra to buy. Just a (fairly) simple “terminal” command, and plenty of help on line. Download an entire website? Easy. No need to buy “office” software. It’s included, and better than M$ Office. Everything you’re ever likely to need is either included or available FREE, just a couple of mouse clicks and your password (to prevent the kids screwing things up).
Nothing to buy – EVER. I’ve currently got over 65,000 items of software to choose from, nearly all of them free, and ALL of them stored in safe “repositories”, so no more Googling for applications and no risk of “dodgy” downloads.
No viruses, trojans, spyware. Linux is designed to be secure, and it doesn’t crash. I’ve had one crash in three years, and that was probably my fault.
I doubt whether any zog-proof operating system will ever be allowed, but people who use Windoze ($eattle $pyware) make life too easy for zog’s spies. Switch to Linux. Make the bastards work for the money WE pay them.
