University of North Carolina professor charged over no-show class

HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. – A former professor at the center of an academic scandal involving athletes at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has been charged with a felony, accused of receiving $12,000 in payment for a lecture course in which he held no classes.
A grand jury on Monday indicted Julius Nyang’Oro with a single felony count of obtaining property by false pretenses.
Nyang’Oro was chairman of the Department of African and Afro-American Studies. He resigned from that post in 2011 during a campus investigation that found certain classes in the department that instructors did not teach, undocumented grade changes and faked faculty signatures on some grade reports.
The scandal contributed to the departure of football coach Butch Davis and the resignation of a former chancellor, Holden Thorp.
Nyang’Oro, who retired in 2012, could face up to 10 months in prison if convicted. The university said it recouped the $12,000 from his final paycheck.
Calls to two numbers listed for Nyang’Oro rang busy. A man answering a call to a third number for Nyang’Oro on indictment documents hung up without comment and follow-up messages weren’t returned.
Orange County District Attorney James Woodall said the professor’s 2011 summer course was supposed to have had regular class meetings. But he said Nyang’oro instead ran an independent study class that required students to write papers but not show up. The school found that the course, a late addition to the schedule, had an enrollment of 18 football players and one former football player.
A campus investigation into academic fraud released last year blamed the scandal solely on Nyang’oro and a department administrator who also has since retired. The probe led by former Gov. Jim Martin concluded that alleged fraud didn’t involve other faculty or members of the athletic department.
Martin, a former college chemistry professor, was aided by consultants with experience in academic investigations. After shortcomings of the report’s method were highlighted, Martin and university officials said they lacked the subpoena powers of State Bureau of Investigation, or SBI, to force people to answer questions and produce evidence.
“Both the university and Mr. Woodall relied on the SBI to help determine whether any criminal acts had occurred, since the SBI had broad investigative powers not available to the university,” said Tom Ross, president of the state university system.
He added in his statement Monday that the university’s ongoing cooperation with the criminal process will continue to its conclusion.
Martin said there was no evidence the university’s athletics department pushed students into courses with known irregularities that would allow athletes to remain eligible for competition. Unauthorized grade changes in the African studies department were not limited to student-athletes, Martin said, and athletes generally didn’t flock to problematic African studies courses.
The NCAA sanctioned the university’s football program in March 2012 with a one-year bowl ban and scholarship reductions for previously discovered improper benefits including cash and travel accommodations. The NCAA reviewed irregularities in the African studies department after an earlier campus probe found 54 problem classes between 2007 and 2011. The collegiate sports oversight body told university officials it had found no new rules violations.

As a victim of the jew opium trade, perhaps it’s time I told my story as a warning to others. No sympathy needed. I’m White, and if I don’t feel sorry for myself, I don’t want anyone else feeling sorry for me.
More than twenty years ago I suffered a collapsed disc in my spine.
The jew “doctors” offered no treatment except to prescribe opiate “painkillers” (Codeine in various forms).
A few years ago, those opiates nearly killed me. As well as damaging every joint throughout my entire skeleton, they aggravated a lifelong circulation problem to the extent that I developed gangrene.
That gangrene saved my life.
By this time I’d been swallowing Codeine tablets almost like sweets for about ten years and was hopelessly addicted. I knew I was dying, but I was too drugged up to care.
At best, Codeine gave some slight relief for two hours out of four, but they had no effect whatsoever on the excruciating pain from the gangrene, so I was put on Morphine, a stronger opiate.
From that point on, I was seldom awake, and could sleep at any time in any situation. The effort of getting up in the mornings tired me so much that I had to go back to bed after an hour or so.
I sweated for up to six hours at a time each day, soaking my clothes and any upholstered furniture I sat on.
I couldn’t see properly. I once saw a bag of shopping going along the road, but couldn’t see the person carrying it. He or she was invisible to me. All I saw was the brightly-coloured bag.
I couldn’t eat solid food, and if I forced myself to eat a mouthful, the food had an unpleasant “fruity” taste. I remember once trying to eat a fruit flavoured sausage roll. It was horrible.
I don’t know how much weight I lost, but my voice changed to that of a very old man, and I felt as if my body was no longer my own. I had to learn again how to operate it.
A very good friend struggled to keep me alive until I was able to start looking after myself again. I owe my life to that friend, without whose help and dedication I wouldn’t be here now.
That was a few years ago, since when I’ve managed to become drug-free, but I still suffer the effects of opiate poisoning. I can walk (hobble would be a more accurate term) about 20 yards. My sight is still impaired and I’ve lost some peripheral vision in one eye. I’ve completely lost my sense of balance. If there was nothing to hold on to, I’d fall over, and I can only stand up for a few minutes anyway. I have choking/sneezing fits that come on without warning. I go into another room and can’t remember why. I can do something (housework for example) for about five minutes, then I have to rest for fifteen minutes, so I end up doing very little. Even my sense of smell has changed.
On average I used to walk about ten miles in a typical day. I used to go dancing, sometimes in public. I could carry 2cwt (100 kg). I was quite good at d-i-y and could also design and build simple electronic circuits. I taught myself computer programming long before I had the internet and eventually created my own website. Now I’m a wreck, and I blame it on the medical profession’s lucrative obsession with opiates.
Perhaps worst of all, I can’t focus ny mind on things that need doing. I know something has to be done, but I can’t make the effort.
Thanks to the internet and my own experiences, I now know opiates destroy joints and damage circulation. They can cause breathing difficulties (that’s how they kill), loss of short and medium term memory and impaired vision.
Some people enjoy the effects of this poison, but I certainly didn’t, and if I had to go through it all again, I’d choose the pain over the opiates (as I’m doing now).
A sad story that I sincerely hope will save some other unfortunate from a similar fate.
There ARE alternative pain relievers, so DON’T let them fob you off with opiates (they call them opioids nowadays).
Don’t worry about me. I’ve had my fun. It’s been an interesting life, and it still is. I’m not giving up yet, and I know I’ll be healed when my time in the (jew) devil’s world comes to an end.

Thanks for the supportive comments, but don’t worry about me. I cope well enough, and I get extra judenfetzen because I’m crippled. For the first time in my life, if I see something I want, I can buy it without having to worry about whether I can afford it.
I thought I’d better explain what I meant when I said gangrene saved my life though.
I’ve had a lot of pain ever since that original injury, but I’m used to that. The pain from the gangrene was really excruciating though, MUCH worse than anything I’d ever experienced before or since. Without some sort of chemical relief that actually worked, I might well have gone over a nearby cliff just to get some sleep. (I know that doesn’t make much sense, but it really was agony, and sleep was the one thing I couldn’t get.)
I was nearly dead from long-term opiate use (Codeine Phosphate, Co-Codamol, Co-Proxamol, Co-Dydramol, Dihydrocodeine, every variation the quack could think of), and the Morphine would have finished me off if I’d stayed in my own place (I live alone).
The Morphine made me helpless though, so the very good friend I mentioned insisted on looking after me and TRY to keep me alive rather than watch me die.
That’s what really saved my life, but it wouldn’t have happened without the gangrene, leading to the Morphine, which made me incapable of looking after myself.
Also, such a bad reaction to a drug finally penetrated my drugged-up consciousness and made ME realise how dangerous the stuff was.
The pain of gangrene is worse than anything else I’ve ever suffered, but it eases off eventually (three or four months in my case), as the black (dead) part gets ready to drop off, so I was able to come off the Morphine and revert to the Codeine, still dangerous, but a lot less so.
(I only lost part of a toe, for anyone who’s wondering.)
It took another 12 to 18 months, another medical emergency and a different painkiller (Diclofenac Sodium) to finally get myself off the opiates, and then it wasn’t too difficult to come off the Diclofenac, since when I’ve been drug-free.
I’ve got most of my mind back now, and I’ll never take another prescribed drug unless I’m terminally ill, in which case it won’t matter.
I don’t want sympathy though. My life isn’t over yet. I just wanted to warn people about the dangers of the jew opium trade after Flanders brought it up.
My life now is different to what it once was, but there’s no point regretting what can’t be changed. Stay positive, concentrate on abilities rather than disabilities. I’d love to be fit enough to be directly involved in the coming war of liberation from the jew, but I’ll find some way of playing my part if I’m still here, and if I’m not, we all have to “Go Home” at some point, and I KNOW there IS a “Home” to go to when our time here is over.

In 1991 I broke my hip in 3 places in a serious car accident, after 13 days in the hospital on codeine I was absolutely convinced I never wanted that crap again, I hated being doped up.
