Trump told them the system was rotten and rigged so it became permissible for them to state that openly and with confidence rather than having to first look over their shoulders or wonder whether the person they were speaking to was safe to confide with. The vicious and blatant bias of the media and the opposition were confirmations in the minds of millions that the system was their enemy. They will not easily be lulled back to the suicidal mentality of before. Even if Trump reneges on his promises there will be no more naïve outlook about the system.
