The man accused of killing Burnsville High School graduate Anarae Schunk pleaded guilty on Friday to second-degree murder.
Thirty-three-year-old Shavelle Oscar Chavez-Nelson, who is currently residing in the Stillwater prison, pleaded guilty to one count of murder in the second degree (unintentional), in connection with the stabbing death of Schunk, 20, in September 2013 at a home in Rosemount.
Judge Kathryn Messerich sentenced Chavez-Nelson (also known as Anthony Lee Nelson) to an agreed upon sentence of 204 months in prison, though he will receive credit for already serving more than two years.
Chavez-Nelson is currently serving a life sentence without parole for the murder of Savage resident Palagor Obang Jobi, which occurred during the early morning hours of Sept. 22, 2013 ………
